User interviews were conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges, pain points, and needs of current pet owners. This valuable insight was helpful in developing features that addresses and targets these user needs.
User personas were created to empathise and understand the different needs, behaviour and goals of the users.
A competitor analysis was conducted on existing apps with similar themes and functions to identify common UX and interactive elements. This evaluation highlighted best practices and gaps in the market, guiding design choices and helping to differentiate the app.
For ideation, 3 different concepts were explored, with the first concept (context variation) being aimed at new owners wishing to adopt a rescue pet. The second concept was the aesthetic variation which was to be designed using the Photon design language. The third and final design concept was to cater to visually impaired users.
Users can view their pet's profile and keep track of their health status through a daily meal and exercise tracker. This functionality allows pet owners to log meals and monitor nutritional intake, ensuring dietary needs are met. Additionally, the exercise tracker enables users to record exercise activities and track progress.
This feature allows users to set reminders for important tasks and dates, such as taking medicine or scheduling vet appointments. This functionality helps pet owners stay organised and on top of their pet's health.
This services page allows users to easily find and access a wide range of pet services. Users can locate services nearest to them and request bookings directly through the app, streamlining the process and making pet care more convenient.
Users can browse the available pets for adoption, view details and book an adoption consultation through the app.
